Qualified as a state registered podiatrist in 1984, Catherine originally worked within the NHS specialising in the field of Diabetes foot care. She developed an innovative system of assessing, diagnosing & treating diabetic patients with a view to reducing the growing numbers of amputations through diabetic foot complications. She was invited to speak at many prestigious seminars & lectured for a while at John Moore university in Liverpool. Her private practice grew over these years until she became one of the areas’ most sought after podiatrists. Following further studies at masters level along side a teaching certificate she started to work at Wigan Athletic FC who were steadily climbing up the league tables to eventually become a Premiership team. Her experience in sports podiatry encouraged her to develop new techniques & treatments leading to an additional qualification in Aesthetic practice with a dream of using dermal fillers to relieve problematic foot lesions. This was a revolutionary step & led her to develop & trade mark a unique foot treatment which she branded & trade marked, Curacorn® was born. During this period of time she also began to enjoy working within the field relating to facial aesthetics & grew a second business, her teaching qualification led to the formation of a second branded treatment & a teaching academy aimed at other medical practitioners & high level beauty therapists in the art of dermal fillers in aesthetic practice. Her academy, Lipology ® will be rolled out across the U.K. in 2017.
